Hospital Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom was officially launched by His Royal Highness Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, the Sultan of Pahang on the 31st of July 2008.This Hospital caters for the people of Cameron Highlands with an approximate population of about 40000.
BACKGROUND
Cameron Highlands Hospital or Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom Hospital is a government hospital located in Pahang, Malaysia. The hospital is better known as Sultanah Hajjah Khalsom Hospital.
The Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom Hospital is a health center for the residents of Cameron Highlands which started operations since January 1, 2007. The hospital was built at a cost of RM112 million and was officially opened by His Royal Highness Sultan Pahang, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Mustain Billah Ibni Allmarhum Sultan Abu Bakr Riayatuddin Al-Mu’adzam Shah.
The hospital was built to replace the health at Cameron Highlands Health Clinic located in the heart of Tanah Rata Town. Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom Hospital provides 76 beds for people in the Cameron Highlands District. It also provides outpatient services, ward facilities, auxiliary hall and physiotherapy services are also available here. There are also plans to provide Hemodialysis services in the near future.
