Hospital Kunak set up for help an individual achieve and maintain a health standard to enable him to carry out productive economic and social life

This can be achieved by providing efficient, effective and effective treatment, rehabilitation, treatment and rehabilitation services with emphasis on underprivileged groups.

Hospital Kunak is located in the southeast area of Sabah. The hospital was established in 2005 and commenced operations on March 18, 2006. Reached the status as a full area on June 1, 1981

SERVICES

The Hospital is a 48 beds hospital and it is a non-specialist district hospital providing outpatient services and inpatient services.

Patients required specialists are referred to Hospital Lahad Datu and Hospital Tawau.

The Hemodialysis unit for the needs of kidney patients in the district opens and starts officially on 24 Feb 2016.

With a unit equipped with 10 units of dialysis machine, kidney patients in Kunak will no longer have to go to Tawau Hospital which is more than 90 kilometers away, to get treatment.

Approximately 60,000 Kunak residents receive the necessary medical facilities including hemodialysis units, have been provided by the government.

Hospital Kunak has 10 dialysis machines with eight of them being donated by the Ministry of Health and two by Risda.

The unit will operate from 8am to 5pm, from Monday to Saturday.
