To assist an individual in achieving and sustaining as well as maintaining a certain level of health status to further facilitate them in leading a productive lifestyle – economically and socially.

This could be materialised by introducing or providing a promotional and preventive approaches, other than an efficient treatment and rehabilitation services, which is suitable and effective, whilst priorities on the lessfortunate groups.

The Hospital is a 77 beds hospital and it is a non-specialist district hospital providing outpatient services and inpatient services.

Background

Jerantut Hospital is located in the District of Jerantut. completed in early 1977, occupied by 9.3 hectares. Started outpatient treatment operation on 16 July 1977 and fully operated on 1 August 1977. It was followed by other support services housed in a similar building covering the Emergency Unit, x-ray Unit, Pharmacy Unit and Medical Record.

Inpatient treatment services start operating with 49 beds. Jerantut Hospital was inaugurated on 26 January 1979 by His Majesty the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Ibni Sultan Abu Bakar Riayatuddin Al-Muadzam Shah.

This Jerantut district hospital provides care and medical services to residents around the city and district. With an area of ​​7558 square kilometers, this area is the largest district in the state of Pahang.

It borders the state of Kelantan and Terengganu to the north, bordering the Temerloh and Maran districts in the south, bordering the Kuala Lipis and Raub districts on the west and bordering Kuantan district in the east.

Jerantut is also famous for the entrance of the National Park which is famous for its natural beauty.
