Background
Hospital Slim River is a new hospital built to replace Tanjung Malim Hospital which has been converted into Tanjung Malim Health Clinic. The hospital was built on October 23, 1997 at a cost of RM 150 million and was fully completed on 22 December 2000. It started operation on 21 March 2001 and was inaugurated by His Majesty the Sultan Azlan Muhibbudin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Yussuf Izzuddin Shah Ghafarullahulah on May 16 2002.
The hospital is 3 km from the North-South Expressway, about 110 km from Kuala Lumpur City and 92 km from Ipoh City. It is the first hospital in the District of Mualllim where its operations cover Bidor, Sungkai, Slim River, Behrang, Tanjung Malim and North Selangor (Gedangsa, Felda Suharto, Tenggi River, Whirlpool, Kalumpang, Ulu Bernam and Gesir) and serve the more than 135,000 people
With an area of 49.4 acres and a membership of nearly 500 people, Slim River Hospital has been categorized as a minor specialist hospital in 2001 using 110 of the 250 beds.
The hospital, which has been operating for more than 15 years, has been actively providing services and with the presence of several experts indirectly has sparked new dimensions in medicine and contributed towards the progress of the Slim River Hospital medical level.

- We will prioritize critical and partial critical cases in the Emergency and Trauma Department with waiting times as follows: –
– All critical cases (Red Zone) are treated immediately
– All Critical Partial (Yellow Zone) cases are treated within 30 minutes
– Other cases (Green Zone) will be seen according to the patient’s priority
- Outpatient Clinic Services and Expert Clinic will be given by turn and / or patient condition. Priority will be given to children, pregnant women, senior citizens and people with disabilities.
- The confidentiality of personal information, illness and care provided to the patient is guaranteed.
- Information will be provided to customers regarding illness and care.
