LOCATION

DESCRIPTION

Hospital Seri Manjung set up for help an individual achieve and maintain a health standard to enable him to carry out productive economic and social life

This can be achieved by providing efficient, effective and effective treatment, rehabilitation, treatment and rehabilitation services with emphasis on underprivileged groups.

Background

Initially Lumut Hospital was built in 1928 on a hill near Lumut Town with a total area of 20 acres. But only 4 acres are used for the construction of hospital buildings. Its construction at that time was able to accommodate Manjung residents as many as 20,536 people.

With the rapid development of the Manjung District and the construction of the Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) Base, the Lumut Hospital is no longer able to accommodate a dramatic increase in population from time to time. The proposal to build a new hospital in the district has started to be planned within the 5th Malaysia Plan.

The proposal was made in view of the need for a complete new hospital and able to provide certain specialist services, in line with the rapid growth of the Manjung District to replace the relatively old-fashioned Lumut Hospital.

A new site of 46.088 acres in Bandar Baru Seri Manjung was chosen as the new hospital location for RM1 million. The implementation of this project was started in June 1992 with a ground breaking ceremony and has expired on 30th November 1994.

Construction of this project is based in Turkey. The total cost of financing the construction of the Hospital Seri Manjung with equipment costing was RM73.093 million. The hospital started operating in March 1995 with various service facilities.
