Background
The Ampang Hospital was built under the 7th Malaysia Plan as a Turn Key Project on 10 acres of land. It started to open in phases in April 2006.
Hospital Ampang is located in Taman Pandan Mewah, Ampang, Selangor Darul Ehsan. Its location bordering Kuala Lumpur provides an alternative to residents in the Klang Valley especially in Ampang area for medical services. The hospital is a National Reference Center for Hematology treatments and offers tertiary treatment of hematology and secondary medicine.
Ampang Hospital consists of:
- 1 block of 8 floors
- 1 block of 4-level Nursing Hostel
- 1 block Parking 5 floors
- 3 blocks of staff quarters
The hospital has 17 wards with a capacity of 562 beds. The hospital is also one of the earliest hospitals using Integrated Hospital Information System or Total Hospital Information System (THIS)
