Hospital Sarikei set up for help an individual achieve and maintain a health standard to enable him to carry out productive economic and social life

This can be achieved by providing efficient, effective and effective treatment, rehabilitation, treatment and rehabilitation services with emphasis on underprivileged groups.

Background

The first Hospital Sarikei was built in 1961 located at Jalan Repok. At the beginning of its opening, it was only equipped with 40 beds and was officially opened by Mr Leong Ming Tak, Chairman of the Sarikei District Council on 22 December 1962.

In 1974 the Maternity Ward was constructed and in 1982 the number of beds was increased to 108 beds. Since its inception, the hospital has been providing services to the residents of Bandar Sarikei and the nearby districts and is a reference hospital for 4 health clinic centers and 16 rural clinic

The new Hospital Sarikei is located on Rentap Road, which is about 6km from the city center. It commenced on 1 July 2001 and 15 February 2006 is the date of commencement of the new hospital officially operating. The hospital is a health reference center equipped with a more modern and up-to-date infrastructure.

With a total area of 38 hectares, the hospital is equipped with Medical Complexes, Medical Blocks, Staff Residential Blocks, Nurses Hostels, Support Service Buildings, Game Halls, Car Parks and Helicopter Landings.

The hospital is equipped with 212 beds, but at the beginning of its opening only 112 beds are in operation. The hospital is planned to accommodate 268 beds in the future. Now Hospital Sarikei has been operating with 182 beds

2.1 Every customer will be well-served, friendly, considerate, respectful, polite, honest and sincere.

2.2 Every customer will be treated as professionally as possible.

3.1 Every customer can get advice on the services provided to him.

3.2 Every customer may obtain a report on the services it receives as soon as possible after making the application in accordance with the prescribed regulations.

4. HEALTH EDUCATION

4.1 Every customer will be given information on important aspects in terms of health care and disease prevention.
