Terms & Conditions

General Conditions and Information

 A-T-U TWO SELF-DRIVE RATES

Minimum rental charge is one day (24 hours period). Hourly charge is based on the sixth (1/6) of the applicable daily rate to the maximum of six hours, there after a full day rate will be charged.

All rates are quoted in the local currency (RM) and subject to change without prior notice.

Rates are subject to 5% Government Service Tax.(5% GST is not applicable in Langkawi)

5% GST is also applicable on services such as delivery/collection, one-way rental, chauffeur driven, baby seat or any other optional services which may require by Renter.

Collision Damage Reduction Option 

The rental rates shown include full indemnity for accidental damage to third party property and bodily injuries. However, in line with the commercial insurance practice, the Renter is always responsible for an amount equivalent to the excess clause as follows:

In ATU Two, we offer the Renter the option to reduce the financial responsibility resulting from a damage vehicle while it is under a rental agreement. This can be done by accepting the Collision Damage Reduction (CDR) at the time of taking delivery of the vehicle on payment of a nominal fee. However, Renter is liable for a Non-Waiverable Damage Excess as follows:

It is to be noted that using the vehicle in contravention of any of the terms and conditions in the Rental Agreement will invalidate the CDR even though it is accepted by the Renter.

Renter is reminded that underbody and overhead damage is at the Renter’s risk at all time and all insurance is void if vehicles are driven on unsealed and unmade roads or surfaces.

In additional to the above, CDR coverage will only be effected subject to the availability of a police report made within 24 hours.

Missing of vehicle accessories are not protected under CDR.

All rentals are subject to the full terms and conditions set out in the Rental Agreement.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (PAI)

The Renter may also purchase PAI for coverage of up to RM120,000.00 at a fee of RM7.00 per day for a vehicle. The PAI covers permanent disability and death, and includes medical expenses of RM1,000.00 per person per accident based on maximum seating capacity of the vehicle. ATU Two welcomes all major credit cards such as JCB, Visa and Master card.

DRIVER’S LICENCE AND AGE QUALIFICATIONS

ATU Two recognises all current Malaysian driving licences. Overseas visitor may use recognised current issued by their country of residence. It is important that Renter and any additional drivers must be at least 21 years of age and over, and hold valid licences of at least one year. Provision drivers and newly qualified drivers are definitely prohibited from driving ATU Two vehicle.

ATU Two reserves the right to decline a prospective Renter whose driving license carries an endorsement.

EXTENSION OF RENTAL

Any extension of rental beyond the agreed return date and time must be arranged in advance with the required additional rental paid, to ensure that the extension of insurance cover can be arranged. Failure to do so may mean the Renter is driving the vehicle without CDR coverage.

WHERE VEHICLE MAY BE USED (Mainland)

All ATU Two vehicles are insured for driving in Malaysia and Singapore only. No permission will be given for driving into Thailand.

WHERE VEHICLE MAY BE USED (Langkawi)

All ATU Two Langkawi registered vehicles are to be used in Langkawi island only. No permission will be given for taking the vehicles out of the island.

RENT–IT-HERE, LEAVE-IT-THERE

One – Way Rental’s service is available for Renter’s convenience. However, a minimum rental days plus repositioning fee is applicable. Details will be made available at time of enquiry.

DRIVING INTO SINGAPORE
Vehicle may enter Singapore subject to the purchase of the Autopass at the Causeway, and it is Renter’s responsibility to obey all relevant traffic requirements while driving in Singapore, such as Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) and other Toll charges.

Vehicle must be returned back in Malaysia.

Singapore citizens/permanent residents are not allowed by the Singapore Law to drive Malaysian registered cars in Singapore.

FUEL 

Petrol/Diesel is not included in the rates. Each vehicle is supplied with a full tank and shall be returned with a similar full tank. Otherwise, refuelling service will be provided at Renter’s expense.

PARKING CHARGES AND TRAFFIC OFFENCE

All traffic, parking offences, courts costs and other expenses that may assessed against ATU Two which are due by the reason of Renter’s possession or use of ATU Two vehicle, will be fully borne by the Renter. ATU Two will contact the Renter where possible if it receives parking or traffic summons pertaining to the period under rental. Otherwise, Renter’s particulars will be submitted to the authority concerned.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Advanced cancellation notice is required or else a fee will be imposed. For non-peak season , 1 day rental fee will be charged for cancellation notice received less than 48 hours. Full rental charges for cancellation within 24 hours or NO-SHOW .

Note : For peak season 2 weeks advanced cancellation notice is required.
